Sandra Hiller, sculptured leather artist, lives in Elk, Washington. Sandra has been a harness and saddle maker for almost 40 years. Her art is a unique medium, combining drawing, leather tooling, sculpting and painting. While she may use her original drawing again, each piece is a work of it’s own. She has received awards at various art shows and leather trade shows. Sandra has displayed her work during Art Week in Great Falls and participated in the Russell Stampede Quick Finish in Stanford, Montana for many years. She is also a member of an Artists Co-op in her area.
“I’ve had people look at my work and say “it’s not art” because it isn’t oils with a gold frame. I find great enjoyment in discovering what I can do with a piece of leather.”
