Raised in Montana, Charles E. Palmer has been passionate about Art since he was a child.

At the age of 16, his aunt took him to see an art show where he became fascinated with the sculptures. Seeing his excitement, his aunt bought him some beeswax where he proceeded to carve 18 sculptures in about 22 days. The two presented his work at the “Trappers and Guides Convention” in Lewistown, MT where they did very well. His aunt truly believed in his talent and together they built a foundry in the back of the shop on the ranch where they lived where he learned to create bronze sculptures.

Charles, has experimented with several mediums, such as acrylics, watercolor, pastels, wood craving, and sculpting, but his passion became oil painting which is now his preferred medium. Being a self-taught and self-represented artist allows him to express himself through all different kinds of mediums. His favorite artistic styles are still life and figurative art.
