Deborah Ann Mitchell would begin her 50-year journey in the fine craft of metal smithing at just eight years old. Working next to her father, a certified Master Fabricator and Artist in his own right, Debbie feels she was taught by the best. He would hand to her a wealth of knowledge, but she would go on to learn even more. Self-taught through much trial and error by age ten Debbie was already creating beautiful works of Art.
She began winning top awards and prizes in county fairs and local Art shows. She gained a hand full of Collectors along the way. Experimenting with Arc and Gas welding as well as Soldering there was no limit as to what she would go on to create. In addition to welding Debbie is versed in drawing, airbrush painting, tattooing, wood carving and is a 3rd generation hand leather tooler. She has been Blessed in her Artistic ability to provide herself a living. Always pushing her creative mind to be the Best she can be she is always open to new challenges.
Debbie has always believed in giving back to the community and today has founded the Foot Hills Art Foundation LLC non profit. The foundation provides free Art Lessons as well as supplies to anyone interested in learning. In addition the foundation is involved in Community beautification projects which concentrate on Large scale murals and sculptures in the upstate of South Carolina. She is the founder of the Mountain View Americana Art Show which is dedicated to keeping the heritage of the West alive. The show has brought together some of this countries Best Artists.
